Poor Chompie....I've said it a hundred times before, and I'll say it a hundred more...he's not a good dog, but he's a cute dog! Most of the time the garbage can is a pretty good place for him! :)

Actually I am very glad to have him now that we are down to just one doggie. He drives me crazy some days, but I don't know what life would be like without any doggies at our house! Pretty Darn Sad most likely!

We went back to Home Depot today to buy some more things for the yard. We decided that the flowers I bought yesterday could go in the tree rings, so that was my project for the day. I was a little nervous about it, I literally have never done anything like this in my life!

It took me awhile, but once I got one ring done the other 2 went a little faster. I love purple, and would LOVE to have everything in my yard some kind of purple something, but that obviously can't happen. :) I think the tree rings turned out really pretty. I'm excited about them!

I am so so so close to the planting stages of the yard! I know I'm not there yet...there is still probably more to do that I don't even know about, but I was too flippin tired of weeding, and digging out rocks and old flower bulbs that I stuck Bubby in the car and we went to Home Depot to look at flowers. Of course Chompie had to come...he loves taking a ride in the car so I let him come with us since we were just shopping outside.

I bought a few things...I have no idea what I am buying but I tried to find things that I thought would look good. We'll see what Chris says about them when he gets home. :)

May 28, 2009

Tonight was Reagan's last soccer game of the season, and last soccer game forever I guess. She has decided that she doesn't want to play again next year which is FINE BY ME, because that means that it was also Chris' last day of coaching! He has done it for 4 years now, so I think we've put our "time" in. He said maybe he would do it again if and when Bubby plays soccer, but for now we are done!! Cameron still likes playing so he will probably play again next year, but it will be nice not to have to be in charge all the time, not to have to do a practice every week, and it will be even nicer to only have to worry about going to one soccer game on the weekends. :)

Great Job Reagie! I'm proud of you for playing as long as you did, even on the days when you really didn't want to!

This was my project for today. I took Bubby outside and parked him in the shade and got to work. He loves to be outside, so he was having a great time out there. Reagie even helped me basically the whole time I was out there. She liked weeding! We kind of made a game out of it and found all sorts of "treasures" and bugs and things. It was so cute. :) I kept the Daffodils in, I like them, and now I just need to figure out what to put in there now. It felt SO GOOD to get that huge flower bed all wedded! Yea me! (And Reagie)

Last Fall Chris ripped out all the flower beds and got everything ready to re-plan this Spring. We are a little behind, but we got started on the front yard yesterday. Today we finished one side of the house. We put bushes along the West side of the house and then added some more flowers and bushes in the front. We put bark down as filler. It looks SO NICE! I love the purple flower bushes we found. You know me and purple! (Yes, Chris let me pick them.) I'm getting excited to get the rest of it done, and actually it's been a lot of fun. A lot of WORK, but fun sort of too.

May 25, 2009 Memorial Day

This morning we went up to Pampa Fraig's grave site for Memorial day. I think this is really the first Memorial Day that I have stood at a grave site and cried! It wasn't ever sad for me to take flowers up to my Grandparent's graves because they were older when they died and had lived long and good lives. It's still sad of course, but today standing there actually hurt.

We took Grandpa a Coke, some Chili Chees Frito's and the morning paper and left them on his headstone. We all still miss Pampa Fraig very much! We love you Craig!!
