Looks like we are in for a snowy cold winter. YUCK!
October 27, 2009
This is what happens when you leave Keric alone for 5 minutes while you go check on the laundry!!! You come downstairs to find him SPLASHING in juice that he has dumped out of his sippy cup COVERED in peanut butter and jelly!
Guess I wont do that again!

I truly HATE the winter time, but I do love the fact that it is too cold to work on the yard, because then that means that Chris has some time to work down in the basement! YEA! He started to frame the bedroom down there that will most likely become Cameron's room one day. He of course has run into some problems, like we always seem to do, but it looks GREAT and I'm getting excited to see more progress downstairs. Thanks Honey!

I was officially announced as a member of a new Creative Team today! I knew about it a few days ago, but they closed the call early, and are letting us go ahead with things. I've been scrapping all day long trying to get things ready to post in galleries this weekend, and YES Mom, I still find time to cook and clean....I just don't go to bed very early anymore. :)

Keric got a mixing bowl out of the dishwasher today and put it on his head like a hat! He thought he was so funny! His head is so big, that it's about the only thing around that FITS it. He kept running around with this big bowl on his head laughing.
He is such a weird kid sometimes! Wont wear a NORMAL hat, but is completely fine with walking around wearing a mixing bowl!

Lately Chompie has not been eating his food. I finally figured out the two reasons why today!
Reason #1 Bubby has decided he no longer likes waffles for breakfast in the morning, so when I am not looking, he feeds the entire thing to Chompie. Guess we'll be having something ELSE for breakfast!
Reason #2 Eating his food has become a game between the two of them! Bubby is totally into balls and throwing. He loves anything that IS a ball, resembles a ball, or can be thrown, which pretty much means anything! I get lots of things thrown at me all day long. Well...dog food fits both of those categories. It's round like a ball, and you can throw it. So that's exactly what they do. Bubby gets a piece of dog food, throws it, and then yells "Go Go Go!" and off Chompie goes! He runs to get the food and then eats it. They do this until the entire bowl is gone! I guess at least Bubby is no longer EATING the dog food, so I can live with the throwing of it since Chompie "cleans" it up. ha ha

When Chris picked Cam and Reag up from their mom's today, they took a drive up to South Willow to look at the leaves. Bubby and I stayed home, because Bubby was so grumpy he really needed a nap!
I made Chris take the camera, so I could "see" the leaves too. That is one thing that I LOVE about Utah...the Fall. We have the most beautiful leaves during the fall! Hopefully we'll get some pictures of all the kids in the leaves, before they are gone. :)

I got an exciting e-mail today. My Lay Out that I did a few days ago was picked as the Lay Out of the day on one of the sites it was posted at. I was totally shocked! I get to be in the running for Lay out of the week and Lay Out of the month. I'm not really expecting to win either one, but heck...it's fun to see my name on the list!
Here is the lay out that won, and the little "award" that I got too.

I'm not entirely sure where this saying came from...maybe my Mom remembers, but while I was growing up my Dad always used to quote someone as saying "Ya gotta learn 'em while they're young!"
Well....does this qualify as "learnin 'em while they're young" or is it just more in the category of "cheap/child labor"?
Truth be told he makes enough messes for me to mop up everyday that in a way, it almost seems fair that he DOES learn to mop when he is this age! I know, I know...wishful thinking!

Keric never did take too well to a binky. He had one for about the first month of his life, but never again. I took it away from him when I was told the useless sucking may be a reason he wasn't gaining any weight. After that day, he never took it again.
So I have a couple binkys lying around and Chris found one today. He thought he would be funny and give it to Bubby to play with.
Well...look what I found!!! I'm not too worried because half the time he has the wrong END in his mouth, but it was a little weird to see my little boy with a binky in his mouth!

I finally found Bubby's Halloween costume!! I am so excited! It helps that I got a great deal on it too!
I saw this same little outfit on line for $25. I couldn't justify spending that much on a Halloween Costume, so I decided to keep looking.
We have this little children's second hand store that I decided to go look in today. They had some costumes in the window, so I thought, what the heck. I was so surprised when I found the SAME costume in their store for $5.99!
I'm sure it's been worn at least once, but it's in perfect shape, and really, who cares, since Bubby will only be wearing it once too.
I am going to paint his face green and spray dye his hair black. I know I am a little biased, but I think he is the cutest little Frankenstein I have ever seen!
Just as a side note...sorry for the crappy pictures the last couple of days. My camera died and I have been having to use my cell phone. Truly sad I know! Especially since I have gone SO LONG taking a picture every day! Oh well...I'll figure something out.

Today was an exciting day for me! I have been digital scrap booking for about 6 months now. There are tons of aspects to the "digiscrap" world! One of those aspects is being part of what is known as a Creative Team.
A Creative Team is a team of people who "work" for a specific designer helping her to promote her digital kits. You get all the fun kits for free in exchange for doing layouts with her stuff and posting them in various places. They are supposed to inspire other scrappers, and also "sell" the kit.
I have applied for a few Creative Teams in the past, but have never made the cut. I got pretty close one time, but didn't make it. This last week there have been several Creative Team calls on lots of sites, and so I applied to 3 this week.
The first team I applied to, I got a "no". I was pretty discouraged, because this was actually a designer that I have a lot of kits from, but sadly, the competition was pretty tough.
HOWEVER...much to my surprise I got an e-mail from the second designer I applied to inviting me to be on her team! She is a new designer, so her store isn't real big yet, but she has such cute stuff! I'm so excited to be on a team!
Chris doesn't "get it", he's not nearly as excited as I have been all day, but lots of my digiscrapping friends are excited for me, so that's good enough.
I have already completed and turned in my first Layout for a kit that will be released in stores on October 30.
I guess we'll see how the application for the 3rd team goes, but for now, I will just say, YEA ME! :)

We had some library books that were due today, so Bubby and I made a trip to the library.
I try to take him once in awhile and check out a book. I haven't been brave enough to stay for any of the story times, or the other little activities that they do for the kids, because he has kind of become a mess, but he can look at the books for a few minutes without being TOO horrible.
We found a book called "Buffalo Wings" and we sat down and looked at the pictures for a little while. He is just getting WAY TOO big and looking far more grown up then I would like for him to!

This morning between the hours of 12 a.m. and 7 the tooth fairy made her very first vist to Reagie!
She was really excited to put her tooth under her pillow last night for the tooth fairy. After Family Prayers I heard her talking to Cameron about waking her up in the morning. Cameron has always been a fairly early riser, and Reagan is more of a sleeper. She made Cameron PROMISE her that he would wake her up if he was awake and she wasn't yet. At the time I thought it was because she was nervous about making it to school on time for walk to school day.
So this morning, true to his word, on his way to the shower, Cameron woke Reagan up. I was up getting ready and I overheard this conversation between Cameron and Reagan.
Reagan: Cam, I think the tooth fairy came last night.
Cam: Did you check under your pillow Mae?
Reagan: Well...I wanted to, but I'm scared.
Cam: Mae Mae, what are you scared about?
Reagan: I don't know, I'm just scared. Can you come look for me?
Cam: OK...I'll come look under your pillow for you.
Shortly after that, Reagan came in to show us the two dollars all folded into cool little triangles that the tooth fairy had left for her.
I'm not exactly sure what was so scary about the tooth fairy, but I guess it was a good thing Cameron was there to protect Reag from her.

Keric and I had to go up to Mama Anne's this morning for a little while. Keric has figured out where the Toy room is at Mama Anne's and he heads directly for it when we get there.
Today he found this little stuffed duck that he came carrying out. He kept snuggling it and saying "ohhhhhhh". He carried that Duck around with him the entire time we were there, and when it was time to go, he wouldn't give it up! He just screamed when I tried to put it back in the Toy room.
I called Mama Anne and asked if she cared if he borrowed it, and she said he could have it. He of course was thrilled when I let him get in the car with it. He snuggled his Duck all the way home!
I don't know how long poor "quackers" will last in our house, since it drives Chris crazy. The catch to quackers is that it actually DOES quack, and not only does it quack, it quacks out the tune to Old McDonald had a Farm.
I guess I'm around Bubby enough all day, that all the noisy toys he has don't bug me quite as bad anymore. :) The Duck is one of the less annoying ones to tell ya the truth!
I hope quakers stays around for awhile, because I love to watch Bubby carry him around saying "ohhhhhhh".

In one of his many drawer content throwing episodes, Keric found an apron in the drawer.
He wanted me to put it on him, but when I would try, he would get get upset. I finally I just gave it back to him because I figured he really didn't want me to put it on him after all.
A few minutes later, I found him walking around with the apron on his head! So it wasn't that he didn't want the apron on...it was just that I was putting it on wrong!
What a nut!

Today we got to go to the 10:00 a.m. session of Conference. Chris and I went with Mom, Dad and Cicily, and the kids stayed with Mama Anne. (Thanks Mama Anne!)
It was sort of a fiasco to begin with. About 5 mins before we got to Mom and Dad's Hotel it started to rain. Not just sprinkle, but RAIN! Of course we didn't bring umbrella's so we ended up making a quick stop at Wal Mart.
After we got our umbrella's, we made our way into the massive crowds and inched our way into the conference center. We got to be there for Music and the Spoken Word and then the conference session.
We actually didn't have too of seats, and it was kind of a surreal experience to be there while it was actually going on.
After the session was over, we had to say good bye to Mom, Dad and Cic. Poor guys ran into SNOW on the way home!
We had a fun time this weekend! Hopefully it wont be such a long time between visits!

We got to spend the WHOLE day with Grandma, Grandpa and Cicily!
We had breakfast together, went to Cameron's soccer game, had a BBQ at Aunt Maren's house, went shopping, and had pizza for dinner.
It was so much fun!! Keric LOVES Cicily. He was giving her kisses all day long! He loves his Grandma and Grandpa too! He likes to snuggle them and play with them. It's been such a long time since we have seen them. I wish we lived closer!

This morning I was trying to clean house to get ready for Mom and Dad and Cic to come, but of course Keric had other ideas.
He kept following me around with his little bucket of alien men, wanting me to play with him. He would show me the bucket and whine and grab on my shirt, until finally I couldn't tell him No anymore. I stopped cleaning for awhile, and played alien's with him.
He LOVES those little men! We put them in the bucket, dumped them back out, lined them up in rows, threw them, all sorts of things. We had a great time. Much more fun than cleaning the toilet, however, eventually the playing did have to stop, and the cleaning had to start up again. Boo!

Poor Bubby smacked his head on the corner of the wall yesterday. He had a pretty nice sized goose egg on his head! It was a nasty bump to say the least!
I put him in his seat to take him over to the YW volleyball game that I had to go to, and I turned around and looked at his poor little head. I kinda thought to myself, you have to be a pretty cute baby to pull off a big goose egg on your head!
I think he pulls the look off very nicely!

I had lots to do today, and I guess I was ignoring Bubby a little too much. He went to his diaper bag and grabbed one of his snacks out, and came walking up to me, and handed it to me. It was so funny, yet so sad at the same time! Poor little guy was hungry, and I was too busy to notice. Nice Mom huh?
